Regular Meeting

THAT the minutes of the Twenty-Seventh Regular and In Camera Meetings of the Municipality of South Dundas be adopted as circulated.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report EDO2019-07 to approve contracting Linda Wilson to develop the 2020 Tourism Marketing Action Plan based on current assets, potential partnerships and any related items.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report EDO2019-08 to approve the development and installation of two Highway 401 Community Tourism Billboards through the Ontario TODs Signage Program; and, That the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas approve the amendment to the 2019 capital budget for the installation of the Highway 401 Community Tourism Billboards in place of the Industrial Park Signage.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report EDO2019- 09 to purchase twenty (20) adirondack chairs to be installed at the Morrisburg and Iroquois waterfronts.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas rescind Report RF2019-03 and accept Report RF2019-14 to approve the amount of $21,095.00 plus HST from Playground Planners to supply playground equipment at Haldane Park.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept report RF2019-15 to approve the tender from Wells & Son Construction Ltd. in the amount of $532,199.00 plus HST for the construction of the new Iroquois Campground Building. Councillor Wells returned to participate in the Meeting.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report TS2019- 12 to authorize Denchem Surface Solutions to proceed with the winter mix for the Matilda and Williamsburg locations for the winter of 2019-20.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept report TR2019- 06 to approve MNP LLP for the provision of audit services for the years ending 2019, 2020, & 2021.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report CAO2019-09 to authorize Staff to proceed with Brouco NDT Inc. for the detailed investigation of the Morrisburg and Iroquois water towers in the amount of $35,800.00 plus HST.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report CAO2019-10 to award the demolition of the Iroquois Campground Building and parking lot improvements to Lloyd McMillan in the amount of $10,000.00 plus HST; and, THAT the Council of the Municipality approve sole sourcing the scope of work to Lloyd McMillan.

That By-Law No. 2019-73 being a By-law to amend By-law No, 2019-13 to establish fees and charges to be collected, be read and passed in open Council, signed and sealed.

That By-Law No. 2019-74, being a By-law to amend By-Law 2010-91 to authorize the execution of the Third Amending Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, represented by the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities (“Canada”) for the Iroquois Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade be read and passed in open Council, signed and sealed.

THAT all items listed under the General Consent section of the Agenda be adopted as presented.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas provide assistance to the Iroquois Apple Festival 2019 as per the attached request.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas directs Staff to paint the doors at the Carman House Museum.

THAT the Council proceed to In Camera in order to address a matter pertaining to personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employee.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas rise and reconvene and authorize Staff to proceed as directed.

THAT By-Law No. 2019-75, being a By-law to adopt, confirm and ratify matters dealt with by resolution, be read and passed in open Council, signed and sealed.

THAT Council now adjourn to meet again at the call of the Chair.
