Regular Meeting

THAT Council accept Report PE2023-02 and direct staff to prepare a by-law to delegate authority to enact by-laws to lift part-lot control and rezoning retained lands related to a surplus dwelling consent to the Mayor and Clerk.

THAT Council accept Report PF2023-05 to award Tender PRF23- 01 to Superior Group for grass cutting and trimming in South Dundas.

THAT Council accept Report TS2023-03 to purchase two (2) Half Ton Trucks and defer the (1) provisional Half Ton Truck in the amount of $175,200.00 plus HST from Upper Canada Motor Sales. AND THAT the Director of Transportation be authorized to sign all necessary documents to give effect to the contract.

THAT Council accept Report TS2023-04 to award six (6) roads to be reconstructed with Double Surface Treatment and Fog Seal, to Miller Paving Limited in the amount of $671,723.50 plus HST. AND THAT the Director of Transportation be authorized to sign all necessary documents to give effect to the contract.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas accept Report TS2023-06 to award the tender for roadside grass cutting to Superior Group for the price of $95.00 per hour plus HST for 2023, $97.00 per hour plus HST for 2024 and $99.00 per hour plus HST for the optional year in 2025. AND THAT the Director of Transportation be authorized to sign all necessary documents to give effect to the contract.

THAT By-law No. 2023-17, being a By-law to rezone E Part of Lot 35, Concession 7, being the retained portion of Consent Application No. B-9-23 from “Agricultural” and to “Agricultural – Special Exception 85” to prohibit future residential uses and address the less than minimum lot frontage in the Agricultural zone, be passed in open Council, signed, and sealed.

THAT By Law No. 2023-21 being a By-law to appoint Crystal LeBrun as Acting Fire Chief for the Municipality of South Dundas be read and passed, signed and sealed in open Council.

THAT Council now adjourn to meet again at the call of the Chair.
